Dance Spirits Legwarmer

"Bright & Lofty" is a light and airy textured yarn, which knits up quickly on large needles. For a heavier weight legwarmer, see pattern option 2, which is knitted using two different yarns held together.
Leg Warmers measure approx. 22 (24, 26)" in length.
Directions are for size Small. Changes for sizes Medium and Large are in parentheses.
Materials: Red Heart "Bright & Lofty", Art. E725, 4 oz (95 yard) skeins, 1 skein No. 9727 Bubblegum.

Needles: Size 10 mm [US 15] and 12.75 mm [US 17].

GAUGE: In St st: 8 sts = 4"; 14 rows = 4".
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge given.

LEG WARMERS: With smaller needles, cast of 16 (20, 24) sts.

Row 1 (Right Side): *K2, P2; rep from * across.

Rep last row for 3", inc 4 sts evenly on last row.

Change to larger needles and work in St st, beg K row until 20 (22, 24)" from beg (or desired length).

Work 8 rows in Rib Pat. Bind off loosely in Rib Pat.

Weave in ends, carefully sew up seam.

Legwarmer Pattern Option 2:

TLC "Essentials", Art. E514, 6 oz (312 yard), 1 skein No. 2716 Pink CA AND
TLC "Wiggles", Art. E518, 3.5 oz (250 yard) balls, 1 ball No. 414 Light Pink CB.

Knitting Needles: 9 mm [US 13] and 10 mm [US 15]. Yarn needle.

GAUGE: In St st: 12 sts = 4"; 18 rows = 4".
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge given.

NOTE: Work with 2 strands held together as one throughout, 1 strand CA and 1 strand CB.

LEG WARMERS: With smaller needles, cast on 20 (24, 28) sts. Work same as before.
